1/2New York cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) has come to Los Angeles to see his wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia) on Christmas Eve. But during the Christmas party, terrorists Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman), his savage henchman Karl (Alexander Godunov), and 10 other terrorists seize control of the building, holding 30 people hostage, while McClane slips away unnoticed. Soon, it all comes out to be just a robbery, one that would have to be hidden from everybody in order not to find them.
Utterly enjoyable action film, with great sequences of violence and suspense. After a while, it may have seemed to have been going on too long, but once it gets close to the end, you'll wish you never even thought about leaving. Followed by DIE HARD 2.
