IMF Agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is sent on a mission led by Jim Phelps (Jon Voight) to find a codename list called the NOC list, planned to be stolen by a terrorist group. But then Ethan realizes the man they were tracking wasn't even the one responsible, and now he must find out who really was and retrieve the NOC list.
Seems a little like an old 40s movie, also seems to be one bad guy after another. And if you came for really intense action, you'll have to wait until the very end, which is so cool, and it doesn't really matter too much because some of the action scenes are still entertaining. Followed in 2000 by MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE II.
